MAYNARD, Mass., Oct. 04, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — AquaBounty Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: AQB) (\u201cAquaBounty\u201d or the \u201cCompany\u201d), a land-based aquaculture company utilizing technology to enhance productivity and sustainability, today announced the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Division of Water Resources has issued a new Withdrawal and Consumptive Use Permit to AquaBounty Farms Ohio LLC, enabling necessary water use at the Company\u2019s Pioneer, Ohio Farm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This permit authorizes water withdrawal up to 5.25 million gallons per day (MGD) and the consumptive use authorized by the permit shall not exceed 0.065 MGD. Now that the new permit has been issued, AquaBounty will relinquish the prior permit that was granted for a different wellfield earlier this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
